This page sets out the licence terms that apply to the ShelterSync plugin and its components.
ShelterSync Core — GNU General Public License v2
ShelterSync Core is free, open-source software released under the GNU General Public License version 2 (GPL-2.0), the same licence used by WordPress itself.
Under the GPL-2.0, you are free to:
- Use ShelterSync Core for any purpose, on any number of sites;
- Study and modify the source code to suit your needs;
- Distribute copies of the original or your modified version, provided you do so under the same GPL-2.0 terms and make the source code available.

The GPL-2.0 licence applies specifically to ShelterSync Core. It does not extend to the ShelterSync PLUS components, which are proprietary and governed separately — see below.
ShelterSync PLUS — Proprietary Licence
ShelterSync PLUS is a paid extension to ShelterSync Core. The PLUS components are proprietary software — all rights are reserved by Reput8n Ltd. Access to PLUS features requires a valid licence key, issued upon purchase from sheltersync.app.
Your use of ShelterSync PLUS is governed by our Terms of Use, which set out what you may and may not do with your licence, including the single-site restriction, prohibited uses, and renewal terms.
Third-Party Components
ShelterSync incorporates a small number of third-party open-source libraries. Where required by their respective licences, attribution is provided within the plugin source code. All included third-party components are compatible with the GPL-2.0.

In accordance with the GPL-2.0, the source code for ShelterSync Core is freely available. You can obtain it by:
- Downloading the plugin directly from sheltersync.app — the download package includes the full source; or
- Contacting us at contact@sheltersync.app to request a copy.
